PLANTS NEED TO PROMOTE and INHIBIT GROW??

 

In the world of plants , regulating substances have a role in growth and development survival. On this, by Went (a German physiologist nation) has argued that "Ohne wuchstoff, kein wachstum" means; without substance regulating growth means no growth.

And the terminology, by plant physiologists have been given the constraints - constraints on growth regulator substances, (growth and regulators), hormones and nutrients (nutrient). Substances in plant growth regulator (plant regulator), are organic compounds that are not nutrient (nutrients), which in small amounts can support (promote), block (inhibit) and can alter plant physiological processes.
Growth hormone (plant hormone), are organic substances produced by plants, which in low concentrations can regulate physiological processes. Hormone usually move from the plants that produce the parts to other plants.

Substances in plant growth regulator consists of five groups of Auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, ethylene, and inhibitors with unique characteristics and different effects on physiological processes.
Auksin are compounds characterized by their ability to support the extension of the cell (cell elongation) at the top, with a chemical structure characterized by the presence of indole ring. While gibberelin is meant compounds containing Gibban skeleton, stimulating cell division (cell division), cell elongation or both. Next Cytokinin compounds having the basic form of adenine (6 - Amino Purine) which supports the occurrence of cell division. Regulator substance that grows to four is Ethylene, is very simple compounds consisting of carbon atoms 2 and 4 atoms of hydrogen. In normal circumstances ethylene is a gas, has a role in the process of fruit ripening in climacteric phase. Growth regulator and substance of the latter inhibitor. These inhibitors are a group of substances that inhibit the growth regulator in the biochemical and physiological processes for the four other growth regulator substances.

Fifth substance of this growth regulator has been made in sybthetis for agricultural purposes and research, which is certainly beneficial to the field of natural sciences and agriculture.

TANAMAN MEMERLUKAN PROMOTE dan INHIBIT UNTUK TUMBUH ??

Didalam dunia tmbuhan, zat pengatur tumbuh mempunyai peranan dalam perkembangan dan pertumbuahan (growth and devlopment) untuk kelangsungan hidupnya. Mengenai hal ini oleh Went (seorang ahli fisiologi bangsa jerman ) telah dikemukakan bahwa “ Ohne wuchstoff, kein wachstum” artinya ; tanpa zat pengatur tumbuh berarti tidak ada pertumbuhan.

Dan secara terminology, oleh para ahli fisiologi tumbuhan telah diberi batasan – batasan tentang zat pengatur tumbuh ,(growth and regulator), hormone dan hara (nutrient). Zat pengatur tumbuh pada tanaman (plant regulator), adalah senyawa organic yang bukan hara (nutrient), yang dalam jumlah sedikit dapat mendukung (promote), menghambat (inhibit) dan dapat merubah proses fisiologi tumbuhan.

Hormone tumbuh (plant hormone), adalah zat organic yang dihasilkan oleh tanaman, yang dalam konsentrasi rendah dapat mengatur proses fisiologis. Hormone biasanya bergerak dari bagian tanaman yang menghasilkan menuju ke bagian tanaman lainnya.

Zat pengatur tumbuh didalam tanaman terdiri dari lima kelompok yaitu Auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, ethylene, dan inhibitor dengan ciri khas dan pengaruh yang berlainan terhadap proses fisiologis.

Auksin adalah senyawa yang dicirikan oleh kemampuannya dalam mendukung terjadinya perpanjangan sel (cell elongation)  pada pucuk, dengan struktur kimia dicirikan oleh adanya indole ring. Sedangkan yang dimaksud gibberelin adalah senyawa yang mengandung Gibban skeleton, menstimulasi pembelahan sel (cell division), pemanjangan sel atau keduanya. Selanjutnya Cytokinin adalah senyawa yang mempunyai bentuk dasar Adenine (6- amino purine)  yang mendukung terjadinya pembelahan sel. Zat pengatur tumbuh yang ke empat adalah Ethylene, senyawa ini sangat sederhana terdiri dari 2 atom carbon dan 4 atom hydrogen. Dalam keadaan normal ethylene berbentuk gas, mempunyai peranan dalam proses pematangan buah dalam fase climacteric. Dan zat pengatur tumbuh yang terakhir yaitu Inhibitor. Inhibitor ini adalah kelompok zat pengatur tumbuh yang menghambat dalam proses biokimia dan fisiologis bagi keempat zat pengatur tumbuh lainnya.

Kelima zat pengatur tumbuh ini telah dibuat secara sybthetis untuk keperluan pertanian dan research, yang tentunya bermanfaat bagi bidang ilmu pengetahuan alam dan pertanian.
